About the Program
The Financial Assistance Program for Recreational, Sports and Outdoor Infrastructure (PAFIRSPA) aims to finance sports, recreational and outdoor infrastructure in order to increase:
- the presence of well-maintained sports, recreational and outdoor infrastructure in all regions of Quebec;
- accessibility to these infrastructures for the population.
Selected projects could receive financial assistance of up to 66% of eligible costs, to a maximum of $20 million for sports and recreational infrastructure (Component 1) and $500,000 for outdoor infrastructure (Component 2).
Application Deadline
A call for proposals is currently open for both components of the program. The closing dates for the call for proposals for each component are as follows:
- Part 1 (sports and recreational infrastructure): June 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM
- Part 2 (outdoor infrastructure): May 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Note: The start date for the work on the selected projects will be determined in the financial assistance agreements.
