The gouvernement du Québec has announced a second call for proposals for the Financial Assistance Program for Recreational, Sports and Outdoor Infrastructure (Programme d’aide financière aux infrastructures récréatives, sportives et de plein air – PAFIRSPA). This initiative allocates $300 million across two components: sports and recreational infrastructure, and outdoor infrastructure.
Application Deadlines and Contact
A call for proposals is currently open for both components of the program. The closing dates and contacts for the call for proposals for each component are as follows:
Component 1: Sports and Recreational Infrastructure
Provides funding for renovation, upgrading, construction or development projects for sports and recreational infrastructure that promotes physical activity, excluding outdoor infrastructure.
Deadline: June 22, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Maximum assistance: 66% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of $20,000,000

Component 2: Outdoor Infrastructure
Provides funding for the implementation of development and upgrading projects for outdoor infrastructure.
Deadline: May 21, 2026 at 11:59 PM
Maximum Assistance: 66% of eligible costs, up to a maximum of $500,000

Note: The beneficiary cannot begin work before the financial assistance agreement is signed.
