Chibougamau and Ouje-Bougoumou | Permanent Position 

Tourisme Baie-James and Tourisme Eeyou Istchee are seeking a strategic, creative, and mobilizing leader to oversee marketing and visitor experience for the Eeyou Istchee Baie-James destination. 

At the heart of a unique territory — rich in landscapes, cultures, and communities — you will play a key role in showcasing the destination, strengthening its reputation, and ensuring alignment between the brand promise and the experience visitors actually live on the ground. 

Your role: 

Reporting jointly to the Executive Directors of Tourisme Baie-James and Tourisme Eeyou Istchee, you will be responsible for: 

  • Deploying the destination marketing and visitor experience strategy; 
  • Leading promotional and communication campaigns (digital and traditional);
  • Ensuring consistency of the Eeyou Istchee Baie-James brand across all platforms;
  • Coordinating visitor information and welcome services and contributing to the quality of the on-the-ground experience; 
  • Working closely with regional and institutional partners.

Profile sought 

  • University degree in marketing, tourism, communications, or a related field; 
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in marketing, brand, or customer/visitor experience;
  • Strong command of digital marketing and communications;
  • Collaborative leadership, strategic vision, and excellent organizational skills; 
  • Proficiency in French and English; 
  • Asset: knowledge of northern territories or experience working in an Indigenous context.
